Mechanical Spiral Project

CES installed in a European leading Industrial Bakery 2 mechanical spirals and modified an existing spiral for pré-cooling of the product.

The first spiral, a down-going spiral of 28 tiers, was used to cool down the product to about 4 to 5°C.  

The second spiral, an up-going spiral of 38 tiers is used to freeze the product to an overall temperature of -18°C.

  • Total meters of plastic belt in this project : 1150m
  • Total amount of refrigeration  :
       *  270kW at -11°C
       *  435kW at -38°C
       *  Sequential defrosting of Stainless Steel evaporators
  • Completely closed Stainless Steel central drive drums of 4m diameter and about 6m height
  • Completely Stainless Steel "modular" floor
  • Fully PLC Siemens S7 controlled
  • Installation time at site : 4 weeks
